The Deposit Insurance Corporation was pleased to participate in a CPD workshop organised by the Reserve Bank of Malawi and the Malawi Law Society under the theme “Unlocking Malawi’s Financial Markets: Legal Foundations and Investor Protection.”
During the event, the DIC’s Chief Operating Officer, Mtchaisi Chintengo delivered a presentation on “Legal Framework for Protection of Depositors in Malawi”, shedding light on its key features, objectives, and the crucial role it plays in safeguarding depositors and enhancing confidence in Malawi’s financial system.
The workshop provided an excellent platform for engagement with legal fraternity on strengthening the legal and institutional frameworks that support financial stability and investor protection. To make the session even more engaging, participants took part in a short quiz on deposit insurance with exciting prizes for the winners.
